LADAKH “the little\u00a0Tibet” ——-<\/strong>
\nWhen traveling to Ladakh, you will be met by an extraordinary barren mountain landscape, green oases, snow-capped peaks, master-work monasteries and Buddhist-Tibetan culture. The landscape is almost predestined for trekking and the rich culture invites you to dive into it.
\nAlso because of the monsoon season during the summer months in Nepal, except the Upper Mustang and Upper Dolpo tours, no more trips can be made, the Ladakh tours are ideal for those of you who can only travel during the summer months.
\nThe best travel time for Ladakh\u00a0is in the months June to September. July and August are high season and are especially warm. Here, large temperature differences are to be expected. In the cities it can be over 35 \u00b0 C during the day and the temperature can drop to about 20 \u00b0 C at night. The snow limit in the mountains in July and August is generally around 5.500 m and thus the temperature will not drop below 0 \u00b0 C at night.Because of its still well-preserved Tibetan-Buddhist culture and customs, Ladakh is also called “Little Tibet”. It would not be wrong to say that Ladakh is a good mixture of the original Tibet and the Kingdom of Bhutan. If Bhutan is too expensive and Tibet is no longer original enough, you will feel comfortable in Ladakh. Because Ladakh belongs to India, you need an Indian visa. The journey within India takes place by air from Delhi to Leh (capital of Ladakh).
\nDepending on your timetable, you will have the opportunity to visit the Taj Mahal before you fly back home. You will take the train to Agra and take a short trip to the famous Taj Mahal, the mausoleum of Mumtaz dating from the 17th century built by her husband, the then Mughal King Shah Jehan. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the world’s 7 new ones.<\/div>\n
