The Jomolhari Trek is one of Bhutan\u2019s most iconic short treks, offering breathtaking high-altitude mountain passes, mystical Himalayan landscapes, and unforgettable panoramic views. Towering above the trail is Mount Jomolhari (7,326\u202fm) \u2013 the revered protector of the Dragon Kingdom and known locally as the Mistress of the Mountains of the Gods.

This sacred mountain will accompany us throughout the journey. Along the way, we pass scattered hamlets, farmlands, and enter dense forests that open into wide alpine pastures, where yaks graze freely. At altitudes between 3,500\u202fm and nearly 5,000\u202fm, the trek offers a rich variety of wildflowers, rare birds, blue sheep, and sightings of other Himalayan wildlife. We follow crystal-clear glacial streams filled with trout and cross the stunning Bonte La Pass (4,980\u202fm), where we\u2019re rewarded with views of Mount Jomolhari, Jichu Drake (6,794\u202fm), Tshrim Khang (6,789\u202fm), and other majestic peaks.<\/p>\n
Nights are spent in comfortable tents, surrounded by pure nature and cared for by our experienced kitchen and support team. The trek concludes in Gunitsawa, followed by a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan\u2019s capital. Before and after the trek, we also explore the cultural highlights of Paro, Thimphu, and Punakha.<\/p>\n
This is a challenging trekking route that reaches up to 4,980\u202fm and requires excellent physical condition, acclimatization, and sure-footedness.<\/p>\n
